Introduction

Zamzam University College was established to contribute in increasing knowledge and innovation in support of social and economic development by qualifying students in six proposed programs: medicine, pharmacy, medical laboratory sciences, information technology, administrative sciences and nursing sciences.

Justification for the program:

Nursing profession is considered one of the most important human professions in the health field. The need to establish the Nursing Bachelor program to cover the acute shortage in nursing and educational services to increase the awareness and keep pace with the global changes in scientific techniques and adopt the curricula and recommendations of international and regional cooperation programs in nursing.To meet the increasing needs and demands of the community to receive nursing services efficiently at various levels of health (promotion, primary, secondary and tertiary).

Degree granted:

Zamzam University College under this program gives the Bachelor of Nursing Science a four-year system with a specific grade.

Admission requirements:

  • Qualifications of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Zamzam College for Bachelor of Nursing.
  • Pass the inspection.
  • To pass the medical examination.
  • Endorsement of compliance with the laws and regulations of Zamzam College.

Education system: –

  • The college depends on the modified semester system with credit hours, since it allows sitting for the second time exam (elimination of repetition).
  • The duration of the college study to qualify the student to obtain the degree of Bachelor of Science in General Nursing eight semesters (four years) equivalent to 159 credit hours.
  • The academic level consists of two semesters the duration of the study in the semester is fifteen weeks.
  • The student receives a series of courses in each semester consisting of theoretical subjects and their practical applications, as well as practical, clinical and field training during the study period.
Teaching and Learning Strategies:

The Nursing Program at Zamzam College follows the following teaching and learning strategies:

  • Active learning in which the student is the main focus of the educational process.
  • Self-education.
  • Focus on practical training under supervision.
  • Method of problems solving during the academic stages.
  • To move towards society in adapting to their situations for solving their problems.

Practical Training: –

  • Practical training to acquire skills on models, mock- up and peers in the nursing skills lab and on patients under supervision.
  • Presentation
  • Demonstrations and Clinical training based on the nursing process and the method of problem solving.
  • Practical training in problem solving.
  • Case study and submission individually or as group
  • Training in writing and evaluating reports.
  • Students rounds to present cases and discuss them with trainers.
  • Participation in clinical round with the medical health team.

  • Home visits in addition to training in the dwelling of reform and guidance.

Evaluation system: –

1.   Students’ evaluation:

  • Continuous structural assessment of the students to ensure the acquisition of the skills or information.
  • Progressive evaluation to ensure the educational goals of the period.
  • Final evaluation (cumulative assessment) is done at the completion of the study for each semester, in order to ensure that the educational objectives are achieved and to give the students their grades and rank according to the level of achievement to decide on them, evaluation of the students with accumulative rate.

A.  Methods of evaluation: –

Theoretical evaluation:

  • Short and continuous tests during the semester.
  • Students work such as case study and project submission.
  • The final exam includes questions of pairing, multiple choice questions, short questions and problem-solving questions.

 

Practical Evaluation:

  • Continuous assessment of the student’s abilities based on the checklists set for this purpose, with the student’s discussion and guidance.
  • Evaluation of the practical examination (clinical, structural compound, field) at the end of the semester in the prescribed nursing course.

C.   Curriculum Evaluation:

The curriculum is evaluated by:

  • Survey of the students, the participants in teaching, the server and the consumer of the service.
  • Analysis of exam results.
  • Monitoring the performance of graduates and their opinions.

Academic Appreciation:

System of examination evaluation and work of student as points which graded as the following:

The cumulative average of the points is calculated by multiplying the number of credit hours for the subject in the points obtained by the student and dividing the total by number of credit hours per semester.

Distribution of credit hours in the classroom: –

كلية زمزم الجامعية أسست للمساهمة فى زيادة  المعرفة والابتكار المتجدد  سندا للتطور الاجتماعي والاقتصادي بتأهيل الطلاب في  ستة  برامج  مقترحة هي الطب , الصيدلة , المختبرات الطبية ,  تقانة المعلومات, العلوم الإدارية   بالإضافة الى علوم التمريض الذى سوف يسهم في زيادة الاعداد لتغطية الخدمات التمريضية.

المبررات لقيام البرنامج

  • تعتبر مهنة التمريض من المهن الانسانية المهمة جدا فى الحقل الصحى,جاءت الحاجة لانشاء برنامج بكالوريوس التمريض للنقص الحاد لتغطية الخدمات التمريضية والتعليمية لزيادة الوعى ومواكبة المتغيرات العالمية فى التقنيات العلمية وتبنى مناهج وتوصيات برامج التعاون الدولى والاقليمى فى مجال التمريض.
  • لتلبية إحتياجات ومتطلبات المجتمع المتزايدة لتلقى خدمات تمريضية بكفاءة عالية فى المستويات الصحية (التعزيزية, الاولية, الثانوية والثالوثية) المختلفة.

الدرجة التى تمنح

  • تمنح كلية زمزم بموجب هذا البرنامج الخريج بكالوريوس علوم التمريض نظام أربعة سنوات بتقدير محدد.

شروط القبول:

  1. شروط وزارة التعليم العالى والبحث العلمى وكلية زمزم لبكالريوس التمريض.
  2. إجتياز المعاينة.
  3. إجتياز الكشف الطبى.
  4. الاقرار على الالتزام بقوانين ولوائح كلية زمزم.

 

نظام الدراسة: –

  1. تعتمد الكلية في الدراسة علي النظام الفصلي المعدل بالساعات المعتمدة حيث إنه يسمح بالجلوس لإمتحان الدور الثانى( إزالة الرسوب) .
  2. مدة الدراسة بالكلية لتأهيل الطالب لنيل درجة بكالوريوس علوم التمريض العام ثمانية فصول دراسية ( أربع سنوات) مايعادل 159 ساعة معتمدة.
  3. يتكون المستوي الأكاديمي من فصلين دراسيين  مدة الدراسة في الفصل هي خمسة عشر أسبوعا,
  4. يتلقي فيها الطالب مجموعة من المقررات في كل فصل تتكون من المواد النظرية وتطبيقاتها العملية كما يتلقي تدريباً عملياً وسريرياً وميدانياً خلال الفترة الدراسية.

يتبع برنامج التمريض فى كلية زمزم استراتيجيات التعليم والتعلم الاتية:

  1. التعلم النشط الذى يكون فيه الطالب المحور الاساسى فى العملية التعليمية.
  2. التعليم الذاتي.
  3. التركيز علي التدريب العملي تحت الأشراف.
  4. .أسلوب حل المشكلات خلال المراحل الدراسية.
  5. التوجه نحو المجتمع في التكيف مع أوضاعه لحل مشكلاته.

  • التدريب العملي لإكتساب المهارات على المجسمات والنماذج والأقران بمعمل المهارات التمريضية  وعلي المرضي تحت الاشراف.
  • العروض الايضاحية.
  • التدريب السريري المبنى على العملية التمريضية وطريقة حل المشكلات. التدريب العملي علي طريقة حل المشكلات.
  • دراسة حالة وتقديمها فرديا او للمجموعة
  • التدريب على كتابة وتقويم التقارير.
  • مرور الطلاب لعرض الحالات ومناقشتها مع المدربين.
  • المشاركة في المرور السريري مع الفريق الطبي الصحي.

نظام التقويم

تقويم الطلاب :-

  • التقويم البنائي المستمر للطلاب للتاكد من إكتساب مهارة  او معلومة.
  • التقويم المرحلي للتاكد من تحقيق الاهداف التعليمية لمرحلة ما.
  • التقويم النهائي (التقييم التجميعي) يتم عند الانتهاء من الدراسة لكل فصل ، وذلك للتأكد من تحقيق الأهداف التعليمية ولإعطاء الطلاب درجاتهم وترتيبهم حسب مستوي التحصيل لاتخاذ قرار بشأنهم, يقوم الطلاب بالمعدل التراكمي

 

 اساليب التقويم:-

أ. التقويم النظرى:

  • الاختبارات القصيرة والمستمرة خلال الفصل الدراسي.
  • الأعمال المقدمة من الطلاب مثل دراسة الحالة وتقديم المشاريع.
  • الامتحان النهائي يشتمل على اسئلة المزاوجة , الاسئلة ذات الخيارات المتعددة, الاسئلة القصيرة والاسئلة المبنية على حل المشكلات.

ب. التقويم العملى:

  • التقويم المستمر لقدرات الطالب المبنى على قوائم التحقق الموضوعة لهذا الغرض, مع مناقشة الطالب وتوجيهة.
  • التقويم بإجراء الامتحان العملى (السريرى,البنيوى المركب, الحقلى) عند نهاية الفصل فى مقرر التمريض المعين.

تقويم المنهج:-

يتم تقويم المنهج من:

  • خلال استطلاع رأي الطلاب والمشاركين في التدريس والمخدم والمستفيد من الخدمة.
  • تحليل نتائج الامتحانات.
  • متابعة أداء الخريجين واستطلاع آرائهم.

Course Objectives:

By the end of this course the student will be able to

  • Describe seven setting in which community health nurses practice.
  • Discuss the nature of community health nursing and the common threads basic to its practice, woven throughout all roles and settings.
  • Identify principles of sound nursing practice in the community.
  • Understand, explain and describe the responsibilities and functions of community nurse in the following:
  • MCH services and family planning.
  • Family health and home management.
  • Health problems in various types of communities (urban, industrial, rural, nomadic).
  • Control of diarrhea disease.
  • Different habit affects health e.g. .FGM.
  • Care of elderly, handicaps and refugees.
  • Nursing services of various health centers (management supervision, keeping health record are port and refer).
  • Work with agencies and communities in health plan.
  • Health education program.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide nursing care to individuals and families in homes and community health centers based on primary care concepts.

  • Community nursing and the responsibilities of community nurse.
  • Nursing services in MCH center and family planning.
  • Family and home management.
  • Health problems in various types of communities urban, industrial, rural and nomadic.
  • Control of diarrhea disease and common diseases affecting children in Somalia.
  • Immunization mainly for children women at bearing age.
  • Deferent communities’ habits affecting health and socio – economic (drugs, alcohol, tobacco smoking, Kat and hashish).
  • Female genital  mutilation (FGM) and the complication of it.
  • Care of elderly, handicaps and refugee.
  • Nursing services of various health centers (management, supervising, keeping health records and reports and referral).
  • Community team work and agencies for plans of health.
  • Disease surveillance.
