Zamzam University College was established to contribute in increasing knowledge and innovation in support of social and economic development by qualifying students in six proposed programs: medicine, pharmacy, medical laboratory sciences, information technology, administrative sciences and nursing sciences.
Justification for the program:Nursing profession is considered one of the most important human professions in the health field. The need to establish the Nursing Bachelor program to cover the acute shortage in nursing and educational services to increase the awareness and keep pace with the global changes in scientific techniques and adopt the curricula and recommendations of international and regional cooperation programs in nursing. To meet the increasing needs and demands of the community to receive nursing services efficiently at various levels of health (promotion, primary, secondary and tertiary). Degree granted:Zamzam University College under this program gives the Bachelor of Nursing Science a four-year system with a specific grade. Admission requirements:1. Qualifications of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Zamzam College for Bachelor of Nursing.2. Pass the inspection.3. To pass the medical examination.4- Endorsement of compliance with the laws and regulations of Zamzam College.
Education system: –1. The college depends on the modified semester system with credit hours, since it allows sitting for the second time exam (elimination of repetition).2. The duration of the college study to qualify the student to obtain the degree of Bachelor of Science in General Nursing eight semesters (four years) equivalent to 159 credit hours.3. The academic level consists of two semesters the duration of the study in the semester is fifteen weeks.4. The student receives a series of courses in each semester consisting of theoretical subjects and their practical applications, as well as practical, clinical and field training during the study period.
Teaching and learning strategies:The Nursing Program at Zamzam College follows the following teaching and learning strategies:1. - Students rounds to present cases and discuss them with trainers.
- Participation in clinical round with the medical health team.

Evaluation system: –1. Students evaluation:- Continuous structural assessment of the students to ensure the acquisition of the skills or information.- Progressive evaluation to ensure the educational goals of the period.- Final evaluation (cumulative assessment) is done at the completion of the study for each semester, in order to ensure that the educational objectives are achieved and to give the students their grades and rank according to the level of achievement to decide on them, evaluation of the students with accumulative rate.Methods of evaluation:-a. Theoretical evaluation:– Short and continuous tests during the semester.- Students work such as case study and project submission.- The final exam includes questions of pairing, multiple choice questions, short questions and problem-solving questions. B. Practical Evaluation:– Continuous assessment of the student’s abilities based on the checklists set for this purpose, with the student’s discussion and guidance.- Evaluation of the practical examination (clinical, structural compound, field) at the end of the semester in the prescribed nursing course.
- Curriculum Evaluation:
The curriculum is evaluated by:
- Survey of the students, the participants in teaching, the server and the consumer of the service.
- Analysis of exam results.
- Monitoring the performance of graduates and their opinions.
- System of examination evaluation and work of student as points which graded as the following:
The cumulative average of the points is calculated by multiplying the number of credit hours for the subject in the points obtained by the student and dividing the total by number of credit hours per semester.
