Conference Report
The 30th World Congress on Echinococcosis (XXX WCE) convened in Punta Arenas, Chile, 30 September – 2 October 2025, under the presidency of Dr. Cristian Andres Alvarez Rojas. The congress brought together researchers, clinicians, and public health specialists from across the globe, including a delegation from Sudan, to advance scientific research, strengthen prevention strategies, and deepen international collaboration in the fight against echinococcosis. The scientific programme included original research presentations, clinical case series, epidemiological surveys, and translational findings from contributing nations including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, Italy, Japan, Sudan, Turkey, Uruguay, and the United States. A specialised Ultrasound Workshop was conducted as a pre-conference session.
